Pre-wedding shoot - Lauren & Tom 20.02.2011

Posted by Administrator (admin) on Feb 21 2011

I set out to meet Lauren and Tom for their pre-wedding shoot on this chilly and grey February morning. As I headed North, I turned my thoughts to the shoot at hand and hoped that I'd not need the umbrellas that I'd packed the night before. Our previous meeting had been cancelled due to a downpour. So far, so good. Today's appointment was at the elegant Eshott Hall country house hotel which stands in acres of gardens and Northumbrian woodlands. The site of the Eshott estate dates back to 1310 and forms the perfect setting for any shoot. Since the wedding ceremony and reception will also be held there, this would also be the perfect scouting mission for that.

Lauren and Tom were waiting in the drawing room when I arrived. We ordered a coffee and sat down to chat about the shoot. Nothing formal, just an opportunity to share some ideas about what they wanted. It was decided that we would explore the house and the grounds to see what caught our eye. They braved the near freezing temperatures in true Northern style and we came away with some lovely images and had quite a few laughs along the way.

They make a great couple and were an absolute pleasure to shoot. I'm really looking forward to photographing their wedding in July later this year as I have no doubt that it'll be a fantastic day.
