Rebecca and Adam - Pre Wedding Shoot

Rebecca and Adam's pre wedding shoot took place in their home town of Melbourne in Derbyshire.

The couple, who met at Glastonbury, had their photoshoot at Melbourne Hall.

Many thanks to Lord and Lady Ralph Kerr for allowing us to shoot in their beautiful gardens.

The idea for this shoot came about after a hearing the song Je T’aime Moi Non Plus on the current Christian Dior TV advert. I subsequently came across some simple yet stunning shots of the singer (British actress, Jane Birkin) and wanted to re-create something in that style. The idea was discussed with model http://kdimitrova.com/Kristina Dimitrova who did an outstanding job with the poses.

With just a few weeks to go until the big day I met with Sunny and Remps to take a picture for their signing board.

Their wedding on April 10th marks the start of the wedding season as far as Sandhu Imaging are concerned. It's going to be a busy year ahead.

I set out to meet Lauren and Tom for their pre-wedding shoot on this chilly and grey February morning. As I headed North, I turned my thoughts to the shoot at hand and hoped that I'd not need the umbrellas that I'd packed the night before. Our previous meeting had been cancelled due to a downpour. So far, so good. Today's appointment was at the elegant Eshott Hall country house hotel which stands in acres of gardens and Northumbrian woodlands. The site of the Eshott estate dates back to 1310 and forms the perfect setting for any shoot. Since the wedding ceremony and reception will also be held there, this would also be the perfect scouting mission for that.

The sub zero temperatures and icy roads at the beginning of December almost stopped me going to this event. Thankfully I made it, to witness Pendulum rocking the stage in front of thousands of ardent fans at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena.

After having seen one of my previous shoots, Sophie contacted me via facebook saying that she would like to work on a shoot so when the opportunity arose , we scheduled to meet at the picturesque Jesmond Dene in Newcastle. The theme (as suggested by Sophie) was a Miss Selfridge inspired festival look featuring big hair and Bohemian style. (Click the images below for more).

It was the morning of the day England launched their 2010 World Cup campaign when I met Sunny & Pav for their engagement shoot. We took to the streets of Digbeth, home to Birmingham’s renowned Custard Factory.

Among the warehouses, factories and other old industrial buildings we came across a few interesting backdrops , including some inspired work by local street artists.

Sunny and Pav tie the knot in September and we wish them all the best for their big day. (Click the images below for more).

It was the hottest day of the year so far when I met Sunny and Remps for their pre-wedding shoot at the end of May. Credit to them both for coping admirably with the stifling heat and making my job easy by looking so great in front of the camera.

They make a wonderful couple and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year.

This was a commercial fashion shoot for two local companies FYI (For Yor Inspiration) and Little Green Lingerie. I was asked by Amy and Felicity from FYI to do a shoot for them at the beautiful Matfen Hall - an exquisite country house hotel set in acres of Northumbrian parkland.

Here at Sandhu Imaging, we like to keep our photography skills up to scratch and that means training! Training in our core skills but also learning new techniques that will enable us to get the most out of our shoots and and more importantly, our customers get the quality they deserve.

While most of our training is managed in-house, occasionally it is nice to be inspired. And who better than by one of the UK's leading wedding and commercial photographers - Brett Harkness.
